Instrumentation Workshop 2026

We are pleased to announce that a Canadian Astronomy Instrumentation Workshop will take place immediately following CASCA 2026, on Friday 12 June at the Université de Montréal's Campus MIL.

Canadian astronomy instrumentation has been remarkably successful, with Canadian-based groups developing and making core contributions to national and international facilities across the electromagnetic spectrum. Nevertheless, as instruments grow in ambition and funding remains challenging, the time seems right to bring together the community to talk about how best to continue to grow the community, deepen collaboration, leverage our strengths and address our challenges.

We thank our colleagues at the Université de Montréal for enabling this meeting to occur when the community will already be together for CASCA.

The format will be discussion-heavy. We ask that you send your suggested discussion topics to the organizers listed below, from which a detailed agenda will be developed and circulated.
